Projects

Kalle is (co-)initiator of various projects. Read more about present and past projects on this page.

Bach aan de Kromme Rijn

What started as a lockdown project in the early days of COVID has grown to become a popular staple of Kalle’s concert calendar every summer. In ‘Bach on the Kromme Rijn,” Kalle leads a musical walking tour with his cello through the beautiful nature reserve ‘Amelisweerd,’ located just outside his home town of Utrecht. During the walk, Kalle guides his audience through the nature reserve, stopping intermittently to speak about Bach and to perform the composer’s cello suites.

Marigold Trio & Marigold Piano Quartet

In the summer of 2021, the Marigold Trio won the first prize “Luigi Boccherini” at the chamber music competition of the Virtuoso&Belcanto Festival in Lucca, Italy. Since 2022, the trio has also been performing as a piano quartet in a new line-up with pianist Mengjie Han.
